N... is for how I will never finish this wretched application. Why is this so hard???
S... is for how stupid I feel when I have to write about my "most important contributions" to research. Just a thought, but perhaps some people do not have 3 contributions, let alone enough contributions so that they can pick 3 really meaningful ones and maybe your wording makes some people feel inadequate... Just a thought.
E... is for how enraged I feel when I sit down to work on this thing and cannot for the life of me figure out how to make my patheticness sound not pathetic on paper. SOME of us went straight through university and didn't have a chance to amass millions of publications, okay?! BACK OFF!!!
R... is for how rank ordering will ruin my life, or, at the very least, my chances of getting funding.
C... is for how certain I am that there are a million better ways I could spend my time than filling out application forms.
